Plant Agra is a Southeast Alabama-based agricultural products company built on real-world growing experience, practical problem solving, and long-standing relationships with the people who work the land. We provide specialty liquid fertilizers, liquid lime, micronutrients, biological products, soil health solutions, and grower consultation for farms, pastures, turf, food plots, wildlife habitat, and more. Our work goes beyond selling products. We help growers identify problems, improve soil and plant performance, troubleshoot crop issues, and choose the right solution for their operation. Backed by more than a century of combined agricultural experience, Plant Agra brings field knowledge, product expertise, and personal service together to help customers grow stronger crops, healthier ground, and better results.
The People Behind Plant Agra
L. Tony Singley
With 53 years of deep-rooted experience in the agricultural industry, L. Tony Singley has dedicated his career to advancing farming solutions, agribusiness operations, and agricultural law. As the owner of Two-Way Trading Co., Inc., DBA Plant Agra, since 2009, Tony brings a unique blend of field-level expertise, corporate leadership, and legal insight to his clients and partners.
Tony’s journey in agriculture began in 1974 with Helena Chemical Company. During his tenure there, he served as a dedicated sales representative and later advanced to location manager across several important agricultural markets, including Florida City, Homestead, and Boca Raton, Florida, as well as Rome, Georgia, and Selma, Alabama.
Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Tony later owned and operated Air Chem, Inc., an aerial applicator company, before expanding his sales expertise with Miller Chemical Company.
Beyond his corporate and field operations experience, Tony holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a minor in Economics from Livingston University, now the University of West Alabama, and a Juris Doctor from Jones Law School. This specialized background has allowed him to serve as a trusted consultant and expert witness in agricultural lawsuits and legal cases for the past 40 years, bridging the gap between complex farming practices and legal compliance.
Before finding his true calling in agriculture, Tony had the privilege of serving as a house parent for the Alabama Sheriffs Boys Ranch, where he helped provide a supportive home environment for boys in foster care. Following that role, he spent time working as an insurance investigator.
Today, when he is not helping growers optimize their operations through Plant Agra, Tony can often be found in his own backyard. He is an avid gardener who enjoys growing fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers to share with family and neighbors. He also enjoys spending his spare time restoring antique cars.
Amanda Rudd Deschaine
With a unique blend of agricultural experience, research experience, and community advocacy, Amanda Rudd Deschaine serves as co-owner and Director of Operations for Two-Way Trading Co., Inc., DBA Plant Agra.
Amanda’s career has been built around supporting the people, science, and land that keep agriculture moving forward. Her deep roots in agriculture include her tenure at South Henry Peanut, where she assisted with the management of daily operations, contracting for the buying and selling of commodities, and maintaining compliance with warehouse receipts and storage requirements.
Her background also includes two years as a research assistant at the Auburn University Experiment Station, where she worked in the field, laboratory, and office to support agricultural advancement. For the past twenty years, Amanda has managed critical supply chain operations, inventory and shipping logistics, state and federal regulatory reporting, and the daily operations of Plant Agra.
Amanda’s professional background also includes valuable years spent serving Alabama families as a social worker, a testament to her dedication to people, ethics, and strong relationships. Backed by a Master of Social Work from Troy University and a Bachelor of Science from Judson College, where she majored in Psychology, minored in Sociology, and concentrated in Human Resources, Amanda brings a reliable, organized, and client-first approach to daily operations.
Her work helps ensure that Plant Agra’s farmers, commercial growers, retail locations, and wildlife enthusiasts are exceptionally well served.
Outside of her professional work, Amanda is passionate about enjoying life’s simple pleasures. She cherishes quality time with family and friends, loves exploring new destinations through travel, and enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Above all, she finds her greatest relaxation and joy in embracing life on the lake.
Trey Morris
Being raised in a family with generations of farmers and cattlemen, the love for all things outdoors was set at a very early age. Even before earning a degree in Wildlife Science from Auburn University, incorporating hunting, fishing and farming into my life was always a priority.
When the opportunity came to be a part of Plant Agra Products, it just seemed very natural and easy with my past experience. After 6 years with Plant Agra Products, I truly have found my home with a great family owned company.
